Ask for help. Make a positive experience. Start win-win situations for everyone. Make people feel less stressed. Create positive dialogue around how to make a positive work experience.
For yourself, make yourself feel safe. Meditate to quiet the mind. Face your fears and insecurities. Fear, stress, anger -- these don't just come out of nowhere. Find the root cause. If it scares you to deal with those fears, the first step is acceptance and calming down.
If your workplace really is as crazy as you say, then they weren't perceptive enough to hire someone prepared enough for it, or it's most likely that there are other people suffering too. Find allies. If the workplace is hostile, everything is lost, and defusing of the negativity and fighting is necessary.
Good luck! I am in a very similar situation. If you like what I say, I'm open for talking. DM me.
