Sunnyvale caltrain horns like crazy. Tbh. You cant sleep at night in here and this cannot be for investments right? Is buyer not local ?

    Oh, I know that area very well. I never understood why people even built houses so close, much less why they sell for so much. The train shakes the ground at that distance, even if you can sleep through 100 dB of noise

    Sometimes when you go for an open house, you might visit in on a weekend or a time when the noise is not so apparent. An overzealous buyer might end up missing such an obvious issue.

    Maybe buyer found it attractive since it is a new construction, end unit. With good double pane windows, maybe train noise is muffled and bearable

    I used to rent in that area, train noise is really not much of an issue. Honk is occasional, and frequency of train is not that high. I’ve also lived on a busy street.
    I would any day choose this than to live on a busy street with constant car noise.

      I live in 732 E Evelyn Avenue. The cal train is loud but the airplane is soooo annoying! Hate it

      Or buyer thought they could sell it for 2.5 after 2 or 3 years? Not sure how they came up with the figure but that is the only explanation.
