I am on F1 Visa in opt extension period. I wrote an article on a subject related to my MS degree. Can I publish the article on medium partner program and receive payments ? Another question. is it safe to assume the money I will be making out of this is very less (<1K) and hence they are not going to bother much about such small amounts. I have gone through couple of websites which say I cannot receive money from anyother company than my primary employment. But I have also read posts on Blind where people have found loopholes to this (like giving home country bank account). Or even many h1b employees driving for scoop or doordash and such things (which they say is legal). I didn't want to go through those hassels and that is the reason for my second question. TC - 140K

Rephrasing my answer: It's illegal to do it, and u jeopardize your chances of getting an h1b, green card or citizenship by doing this. Is this worth it? The RFE u get, will cost way more money just for the proper attorney. Scoop has partnership with employers. So employers pay for it. Thus on paper it seems legal. And as far as the people who drive for doordash, and stuff. Report them. It is illegal and we should be complaint with the set of rules laid down for us, so that others who want to pursue the American dream, get to experience what we do. That seems far more important than the collective small time extra money you guys will make.
Not cool Man, if u dont know the answer, just don't bother making a comment
Is my question explained enough now ?
