I recently joined Apple and was give a 27 inch LG 5K ultrafine monitor, which is worth over $1000. However, I prefer bigger size than higher pixel density and my desk is too small to accommodate 2 monitors. Can I sell the company monitor and buy a new 38 inch ultra wide monitor? #apple #wfh

Omg of course you can't sell your company's hardware. Ask for a bigger one, or buy your own.
You can do whatever you want. Should you? No.
Pretty sure the serial number is tied to your employee ID in asset management.
I can just remove the serial number sticker when I sell and swap back to a used monitor when I need to return it. I doubt anyone will check serial number in firmware for an old returned device.
Wow. How did you land a job at Apple??
LC, gork and luck
Don't make the mistake of thinking everybody at FAANG is super smart. Getting a job at a FAANG means you solved some LC problems and passed behavioural questions. These are both things that can be practiced.
I would not suggest selling company property. Ask for larger or send back and buy your own to keep and do with what you want.
They are too fancy for code monkeys. Maybe UI/UX designers get them.
Wow they couldnāt even get you an Apple Pro Display XDR. Tsk tsk
No.
I'd be interested to hear what others say. I feel like you'd have to give the monitor back if you quit but I've never worked at Apple to know.
Can I buy a used one from eBay and give it back? The monitors are stateless, are indistinguishable and don't contain any data, right?
They'll have the serial number
