Can recruiters screw up your bootcamp at Facebook?
I got FB. Negotiated to "max E4 offer" by using multiple offers to 165K/400K/70K = 335K at 4.5 YOE Recruiter said he will match me to high performant/impact teams and offered me Ads, FB Messenger and Libra and Instagram. Wtf? What if I want to join normal performant teams and low impact? I shouldn't be punished for having boss negotiating skills... Secondarily can someone plz give me insight to these orgs? Thanks in advance!
Just tell him you don't like those teams. You don't have to say you prefer low impact or normal team. Just tell him you ain't interested in those teams. There's only so many high performance teams he can offer you...

Pretty sure recruiter has 0 ability to influence what team you join (even if you're preallocated), so they're just talking out of their ass.
There are no normal performant teams at the first place.
So what kind?
If you aren’t preallocated already (seems like you aren’t), you can politely ask the recruiter to go through regular Bootcamp and team selection. You can decline the recruiter’s options by telling them that you can’t make a decision over just a phone call with a manager and Bootcamp is one of the main reasons why you’re picking FB so you wanna do it the right way.
Libra is high impact? Can anyone confirm that?
Ask whether this is soft preallocation. If it is, pick whatever and select team during bootcamp.

Not really. I just want to do what's normal 40-50 hrs a week and NOT burn out working 80 hrs a week. Quit making assumptions. They make an ass out of you and me.
