Can someone tell me why this house is so inexpensive?

https://www.redfin.com/CA/San-Jose/1726-Guadalupe-Ave-95125/home/1417819 Under $1M for a 2,426ft house in Willow Glen?? Permit to build 700 SQFT ADU as well? Am I missing something obvious about this property?

To create a bidding war

Weird indeed... price history indicates it was listed in December for $1.65m. Maybe super inexperienced selling agent?

To get people like you to market their $1.65M listing (late 2019) on their behalf.

So lower budget buyers visit, fall in love and bid 1.3.

Wait why is willow glen so hyped up?

Big Switch Networks forfoot Jan 15, 2020

It's restricted to low income buyers.

Where does it say that?

Big Switch Networks forfoot Jan 15, 2020

Whoops, confused it with the los gatos house. The townhouse at 178 Terreno De Flores Circle in Los Gatos -- valued at about $1.1 million -- is on the market for $274,000 as part of the city's affordable housing program
