I’m currently working remote, but in my offer letter it states that the company will re evaluate my location when offices reopen. As of right now, my location in the system is ‘Remote - US’. My team is in CA and I’m worried they’ll revoke my remote status when things open up because it states that in my offer....

Do you think my manager will actually force me to relocate?

Working for Twitter rn, not FB.

Yes they can force you to go to office because they pay you that sweet TC.

Twitter is like full remote these days anyways though. Twitter needs you more than you need twitter.

For Twitter? When you interviewed, signed and started you should have collected a good signal as to what they allow and whether remote is in fact OK. It should be pretty explicit (hiring manager, recruiter).

However it seems they are among the most remote friendly, so my guess is you should be fine. That re-evaluation clause is probably just CYA, or maybe even interpreted as “re-evaluation of your TC depending on where you live”.

They can't force you to do anything.. unless you want to keep your job .. but that's your choice :-]
