coaches, agilists, scrum masters, change agents or whatever they call themselves. I'm sick of every morning being asked "what are your blockers?", "are you sure you have no blockers?", "what jira did you work on yesterday?" by a random dude that has zero tech background nor any touch with reality. All they do is book meetings, play on their phones, watch "motivational videos" youtube all day and fly first class to 5 agile conferences a year.
Your scrum master isn't technical O.O
I hate scrum calls too. There is not much that changes in a day. Daily standups really annoys me. If somebody is blocked, they always reach out to other engineers. There is no point in meeting everyday. Daily standups have turned into status meetings.
Sounds like you have a team admin and not a scrum master
I have worked in teams with non tech scrum masters and even with no scrum masters. In either case daily standups doesnt make sense to me. As daily standups turned into status meetings I feel like its like questioning everybody if you have been working or not!!
Scrum Master, what do you do? I deal with goddamn engineers so the other engineers dont have to!! I have people skills!
1 Engineer & 5 Managers 😂
Lol I have daily stand-ups which are so damn annoying. Some PMs are so stupid , they don't even understand 1% of the technical stuff.
PM(O?)s shouldn't have to, if they're getting down to a technical level, they're probably overstepping
Yeah they do that with their unearthly demands lol. POs are better than PMs IMO.
Scrum master only exist in companies with lousy engineers and managers.
Maybe we can just admit that scrum is a management technique to ensure devs stay on track and communicate their work? Reinforced by the risk of peer embarrassment if you don’t have anything to say about your status. I’ve never heard a dev say they need a scrum to do their job, but I often hear managers asking what someone’s status is.
"We need to be agile" -> obviously "We don't need to be agile" -> why do you hate customers and change? Can't get rid of it ☠️
If your team has evolved enough to no longer need the strict version of scrum or other agile frameworks, set your own rules. It’s not really worth calling it agile otherwise. Be willing to go back to the traditional way though if your team starts seeing negative impacts.
I feel you bro
