Can you transfer from cap exempt H1 ( for non profits) to a cap subject H1? What is the process of transfer?
I currently work for a federal research lab and am looking for jobs in the biotech industry, but since I am on a cap exempt H1 visa, I am worried about immigration. Is it possible to transfer this H1 to an industry position?
You have to go through the April lottery and win, then if approved you can transfer in November.
Does the capped employer wait for that time period? I mean let say I get interview in January and get through it before February and they will apply in April of that year, I've heard it might take time until October and as you said November you could switch is all worked great as expected! Does the capped employer be so patient. Have you heard such scenarios?

Well, you need to do a full loop with h1b application and lottery like everyone else.
Making full loop make sense, put is that really possible on employer's end. Are they so patient?
