Candidate review for follow up fb
Hi guys, I had my follow up interviews for fb last friday n there were two interviews - one design n one coding. I felt i did awesome in coding. In design, i felt that interviewer already made up his mind in first 10 mins to reject me. What are my chances?? Recruiter told me that my performance was ok during first design onsite round, but this time i felt it went more down because interviewer didnt like me. Can they consider previous results for design n give me offer? I really gave six months for prepartion n gave multiple interviews n i dont know how i will be able to gather all energy again to give third attempt for fb. Recruiter told me yesterday that she will take my feedback for review today, but i didnt hear anything. This wait is killing me. Process is really slow. It took them two weeks to tell me that they want follow up.
What were the results?
Chances are quite low, especially if you are being considered for E5+. The main reason for follow up interviews itself is to get more signal and generally a good performance is required. If your previous interview was strong enough, we wouldn’t have requested a follow up.
I think i am considered E4 based on my experience
It’s upto the committee then. I’ve seen cases where hire decisions have been made with “strong” coding and Jedi interviews, with not so great design interview at those levels. The only option for you is to just wait.
