I am interviewing with Capital One for summer 2020 technology internship program and I am a seinor in college. My background is from bootcamp and pervious Information Security internship. I wanted to ask if you think it would be a good idea to bring my laptop to the interview and showcase some of the projects I have done with the bootcamp since I am not that great with leetcode related questions. #capitaloneinternship #capitalone
No don't do that. Just mention it in your resume and leetcode
Cap1 is not going to ask you difficult LC prob easy level, just do some practice and put your GH on your resume
They asked two leetcode mediums for there internship program. So I would imagine leetcode mediums or above for full time
Thanks for this info, I’m I’ll focusing on leet code more before applying for full time
You do not want to work here. In the unfortunate event that you accept the job offer, you will literally regret it.
How come if you don’t mind sharing? I’m your opinion is it a good place for a new grad?
It's very much a YMMV situation. After intern if you do well you will get return offer as TDP (new grad rotation). If you land on a good team that's not a problem but there are some crappy team and screwed up managers and that's hellhole. Go to SF if you can. There are fewer teams but all tend to be higher caliber. Also if it doesn't work out you can always jump ship easily.
Ignore the guy above if you cant get a better internship take it and leetcode ur fucking ass of during it. You will get call backs from most top tech companies, the name brand of cap one goes down the longer you are here it is very competitive at the intern level, much less at new grad, and lower as you get higher up (TC is equivalent to big tech as intern then similar base with no stock as new grad, then like 🥜 as a senior)
What do you think of cap one vs amazon for internships?
Also interns are handed nice shiny projects and shielded from devops as well. Its a very nice experience.
Thank you for the details and advice
C1 title are lies. There's nothing senior about senior associates. They are really just one step above new grads
Hey can you dm me the recruiter?
Definitely don’t do that. Link your GitHub on resume, highlight those experiences when going over your background, and start leeting now
Will definitely start
