Capital One: Business Analyst vs. Strategy Associate
I am considering applying for a position at Capital One and was wondering if anyone could speak to the differences between these two roles. It appears to me that business analysts get exposed to all the inner functions while strategy associates deal with higher-level issues and strategic initiatives at the top-level, but I was hoping someone could expand on that. Also, what is the overall prestige of the two positions (compared to each other and to the industry as a whole)? Also curious about salary differences, exit ops, etc. Since I can apply to just one, I’m trying to get a better idea of what’s right for me and what the better opportunity is.
Also, does anyone know of similar positions at other companies in the DC area? The finance scene here is relatively limited and I don’t want to limit my scope to just Capital One.
