Hello Blind, I have an offer from capital one and Amazon. I have no intention of taking the Amazon offer but I want to use it to negotiate the capital one offer higher. How much should I ask for from Capital One? Cap1 115k tc in Richmond VA -Senior Associate (swe II) Amazon 165k in Seattle - L4 Yoe 1.5 Current tc 85k #capitalone
And Amazon
I have worked at both. Take Amazon and don’t let blind scare you into choosing cap1
Yup we need single men for the Quota so that married men and women who are friends with upper management can chill
If not on visa, take amazon and jump the ship again.
Amazon obviously, we might be the worst faang but capital one isn’t even in faang. Amazon name is more valuable on your resume. Also we generally know how to secure s3 buckets. Just saying.

What role at Amazon?
Aws
It has come to this ? People using Amazon offers to negotiate better offer at Capital One ?
OP didn’t put a poll, he just outright rejected Amazon for C1. I fhink a poll might have Amazon winning between these 2.
Yeah I mean, Amazon pays well and has easy interviews so why not
I know people hate on Amazon here, but not kidding take that over Capital One
I live in NoVA and used to live in Redmond. $115K is decent for Richmond, but Cap One can probably come up $5K. You will also have better WLB with Cap One. You can always move to Amazon in Arlington down the road.
Thanks. In thinking to ask for 125k and see what they come back with
Amazon without a doubt. Even with it’s stigma, your career is better off there and the company in your resume makes a huge difference.
