What kinds of questions does Cap One ask? There aren’t many tagged questions on LC. Also, if anyone can shed some light on TC for certain levels, that would be great. TC: 150k
I think no rsu unless you are in director position..
Damn, guess I’ll asl the recruiter to confirm
Can confirm.
I felt they recently have a recruiting event. A manger contacted me on LinkedIn but was not able to provide any compensation range and would like me to talk to their HR. His goal seemed only to invite me to start their online assessment.
The recruiter said he got my resume from another employee somehow, even though I never met that person. I don’t really care because I got the interview anyways
My interview experience with banks, are mostly trivial. However trading front office are exceptions(can be difficult in their domain knowledge). With good chance you will just face easy level in term of leetcode.
99k base + 10k sign on for new grad in the DC area. You get a salary bump after first rotation but don't compare any of this with West Coast/FAANG TCs.
Yeah one of my old friends was in TDP so I’m aware of the new grad TC for the SF office.
Senior Software Engineer salary maxes out at 185k in NYC and roughly $160k everywhere else. I’ve worked a few places and this is the most chill by far. I mostly tap out at like 35 hours a week with a good bit of goofing off. YMMV of course but my experience is it’s pretty good place to work and a lot of teams are like this. Promotions are extremely political and someone’s rank doesn’t indicate their engineering ability in any way (like at all lol), but everybody is nice and the expectations are low. If you’re good at public speaking, you will be a engineering director in no time even if you’ve never written a line of code. I want to go to FAANG, but I could see myself coming back here when I’m older and looking to spend more time with kids, etc. Questions won’t be much more than LC easy. Most the senior engineers wouldn’t even be able to do LC easy so more likely you will just get random trivia in the language of the job you are applying for or AWS.
Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it! This sounds exactly what my old friend told me about the SF office
Concur!! You won’t get LC, and even if you do, it’ll be one of the most popular easy/medium ones. You’ll most likely be asked system design based on cloud.
I’m more interested in the TC. A recruiter contacted me for Capital One Labs in NYC, but I’m guessing the TC will suck. I have 250K in Seattle, but I guessed their TC in NYC will barely hit 225K. If I talk to the recruiter further I will update.
Yeah I’m interested too, thanks!
YOE?
