Save your fuckin money
What should I get ?
Buying a somewhat sports car, always go used before you go new, IMO. You will get used to car payment, upkeep, reliability, etc. without having to spend too much. Acura/Lexus are way more reliable than German. V6 are way more reliable than turbo i4. But there will always be some tradeoff.
If you don't really care about money, go for a new car. If you feel you are comfortable getting your way around a car, go for a used one, you'll save a good amt of money on used cars. German cars depreciate a lot and are unreliable.
German cars aren't just blanket unreliable lol. BMWs are largely unreliable, agreed. However, with MB and Audi, it depends on the make. With the Q5 for example, the engine is a stalwart across multiple cars. Car specific forums are a great place to research German car reliability.
I stand corrected, I own a BMW BTW so I totally get you
Those are all expensive unreliable piles of crap. Get a Lexus if you want a nice car that will actually last.
I would always but used reliable make and model. Financially it makes sense. But depending on your net worth you could buy new
