I have a 2011 Mazda3 that I bought when I was a single bachelor. The car needs new tires and servicing and I wonder if it's worth putting more money into this car, or should I just buy a new one since my needs have changed as a married man with a 2 year old. Earlier I just wanted something that looked good and drove well. I still want those things but now I also want a comfortable ride, quiet cabin, more cargo space better climate control. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend more than 30K
Oh good luck! If you’re talking new, that will be hard to find at that price.
Tc?
Honda Accord
Forester?
One of the candidates. But I don't know about the cvt
The CVT was poor when it first came out but they’ve made great strides. I wouldn’t consider it a deal-breaker if you like the rest of the car.
Model 3 or cybertruck will actually be cheaper than a 30k car in the long run (including tax rebates). Lots of financial analysis on this point on google. Plus it’s the future.
Yah Madza 3 is too small for a family. Rav4/Highlander/Subaru Outback/CRV might satisfy all your requirements.
I don't understand this mentality. He's only got one kid, not 5. What would make it too small for a family? Plenty of cars in the 80s and 90s were smaller and they were perfectly acceptable as family cars.
If he has one kid, chances are he’ll have another. Those mandatory fricking car seats are huge. Getting a kid in and out of a Mazda 3 is a lot of work. Get something like rav4 or cr-v.
Mazda CX-5 or Toyota Highlander, maybe 5 years old Lexus RX.
See Kelly's blue book channel in YouTube and see their evaluation.
My dad has a forester and although I love it, not sure if I can recommend it for a kid. He has the one that’s one step down from the XT, and my siblings and I often fight for the front seat on long trips because the back row has literally no contact with the climate control. No vents or anything and the windows only roll halfway down. Maybe the XT or an Outback is better but not sure.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
