I’m finally in the position where I feel comfortable balancing a grad program with work. Just hung up on what to do. I’m currently an ICT3 backend engineer, but I’m trying to think about what I want to do 3-5 years from now. I love engineering but have been leaning towards the idea of eventually transitioning towards the business side or PM/SWE management if possible. Starting to hit a slight burn out that hasn’t been getting better since last summer. Think this is partly because I have not set a goal more longterm than “just survive this migration” in awhile. Appreciate all constructive advice or stories from similar experiences! TC: 300k YOE: 4 (spent 3 years in a non-tech field) #engineering #software #swe #mba #mscs

None. MS in CS is not going to be a career booster in tech if you already are a developer or help transition to be a dev manager. Discuss career goals with manager and work towards a transition to management. Full time MBA from a top ten might help you transition to be a PM, but you could probably do that without the MBA and the 150k that you would end up spending
