Hi, I’m changing careers paths from a Health, Safety, and Environmental systems admin to a SA. I manage all of our safety/training records and develop employee training. I’m currently studying for my AWS Solutions Architect. I also have 7-8 years of sales experience in the financial services industry. My goal is to land a job as a SA in the next 6 months. Is this too lofty of a goal? I plan to have my AWS SA in 3 months. I know there are a lot of certs out there, but is there another cert that would increase my likelihood of being hired? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Thank you for the info. After looking into it, it seems Azure SAs are in higher demand and also command a higher avg salary. I have a cloud guru membership and I got started on Azure yesterday after reading your post. For the sales jobs, can you send me a link or let me know what the actual position is called? I entered it on indeed and so many different titles popped up, none specific to sales. I really appreciate the advice. As someone new to the industry, it’s great to get advice from someone with experience. Thanks again.
Did you get the job?
