I have external and internal offers from both companies in addition to others MS Next 2 Year Expected TC: 370 370 Pros: Opportunity to learn a well-designed other company system, more techical depth growth with more ML experts Cons: Lower refresh compared to Apple and decreasing remained RSU Apple Next 2 Year Expected TC: 350 390 Pros: Tech lead role, more career growth, TC can be increased further with higher refresh for next 3 year Cons: Less opportunity to learn a new thing I considered target bonus and avg refresh to estimate TC, but did not consider stock unit price increase. Friends gave me roughly 50:50 opinions. Would like to appreciate any advice on this #career #compensation
Now 5 Apple, 4 MS, 1 Other. Still they are close
You can always learn something new; you control that almost entirely. You won’t always have the opportunity for leadership and meaningful career growth so hold on to it if you’ve got it at Apple.
YOE? I would go with tech lead role.
What level at MS?
What’s your YOE? I think that affects the decision.

Most competitive company to land a job at in 2024?
Apple
Thanks! Could you help me with a little more comment?
Being at Apple and having the ability to be a tech lead is more appealing to me than going to MSFT otherwise as stated. I'm interested in what Apple is doing and their overall design philosophy as a company. If the TC is more or less equal per se, it'd be an easy pick for me. Probably best to get someone with high YOE to give technical input. I am but a mere low TC mortal.
