Has anyone moved from Product Management to BD or/and back from BD to Product Management? What has been their experience? What are the things to watch for a move from Product > BD? Was it difficult to move back from BD to Product?
So I am thinking of pivoting because the BD role that I am looking at is at a FAMGAS company and the domain is something that I am passionate about and have been working on as a Product.

Why are women naked in gym?
As long as you are able to talk about how BD helped you become more attuned to the voice of the customer, product people will embrace you with open arms. Personally, I realized how most product managers think they know what customers want (like a male gynecologist thinks he understands his female patients) and had make some changes to address that blind spot. I’ve always done BD/product at super technical companies so the transition was pretty easy. Can’t say the same for consumer/less technical stuff. YMMV. PS: BD pays way less than product and fewer jobs in general/more competition
