I recently graduated from undergrad this May with a finance/risk management major and accounting minor. Currently I’ve gotten a job at bny mellon as an ops analyst. I’ve been in this role for about 2 months and this is my first job out of of college. I’ve been trying to get into investment banking and have also taken the first level of the CFA this June. I’ve also been self teaching how to use various types of models such as the DCF for example. Any help or ideas to get into this would be greatly appreciated.
The real question is how many leets have you done?
Go get an MBA
Network like hell. Research Wall Street Oasis.
Seriously, quit BNY now. Ops is the last thing you want on your resume for IB.
You’re as far from IB as it gets.
