Snap research vs. engineering at FAANG

I've been offered a research position at Snap and I am still in the midst of some interviews for engineering roles at FAANG-type companies. I'm considering just accepting the role at Snap as I'm decently happy about it and interviews stress me out to no end.

This would be my first job out of grad school. Does anyone have advice about the career and financial prospects of Snap research versus a more conventional engineering role?

Your almost done! Keep interviewing! But don't be as stressed about it anymore because you have such a solid offer already. Another option is to see if snap will pay you much more to call it quits on interviewing. That's an option too.

I have a small count of first author publications and have been involved in several papers at top tier venues. Should this affect my decision?
