Can anyone from Microsoft tell me if the compensation for a SDE in Charlotte would be the same as Redmond?
Probably not because the cost of living is much lower
Salaries in Charlotte are lower than Redmond.
If you shared with us a specific job posting it might help us answer. There is very limited development in Charlotte so it’s likely not Product Dev, as you would find in Redmond, but internal app development. Those roles usually pay less. As others pointed out, most of Charlotte is support work. Some wickedly smart people there supporting core Azure services, who know their stuff inside and out.
P
The same role at the same level in the same team will make less in Charlotte than in Redmond due to cost of living adjustments.

Yeah, I would expect $150k is not a problem. Plus you’ll have bonus and stock.
The cost of living differential between Charlotte and Redmond is 9%. That is, you will be paid 9% more for the same role and level in Redmond. The lower cost of living makes up for that 9% several times over.
