Anyone work at chewy on the mobile side? What is that team like? And compensation wise what is reasonable for an mobile engineer with 2Y of industry exp? Stocks options or sign up bonuses?
I really like the PMs and engineering leads on NMA. They’ve got things on the right track and that guy isn’t going to F it up. He isn’t needed and should stay out of the way/take the hint. If he does mess with a good thing, I’ll figure out a way to get rid of him.
The iOS PM just left last week and can’t really speak for Android since I don’t know her too well. Hopefully he’s addressed, seems they’re just trying to collect ammunition to fire him.
A iOS PM left. There are a few across both platforms. The one that left went to Nike -they’re bringing a ton of work in house. I don’t blame her it’s a big opportunity. There are others (one of them being the best I’ve ever worked with and I’ve been in the game over a decade) still here kicking ass. These teams are strong across both offices. But as far as equity with only 2 YOE, nope not here.

DONT DO IT. The new VP dealing with Mobile was the guy I worked under. He rejected PTO requests for people and ultimately led to over 50% of the web team leaving. That VP was moved into a smaller role around 2 weeks ago managing solely mobile teams so I wouldn’t go for it unless you want to be a test guinea pig.
