+1 they pay more than Amazon for right people. 380K TC for SDE 3 is valid at Chewy - though not everyone gets that much. But again, even at Amazon SDE 3 salary variance is huge: 280 - 450.
Joined Chewy after workingman's at Amazon for 6 years in Alexa. I can certainly say that the quality of Data Scientists in Chewy is better than Amazon Alexa. Also at Chewy - being new and all - has much more interesting projects. Bottom line - Amazon hire a ton of people and their bar varies a lot. I joined Chewy because of the project I was interested in. I work very closely with data scientists. Pay more than Amazon; just FYI.
