Anyone knows the culture in these companies? For HW position? Alibaba, Huawei, Hygon? @huawei @alibaba
They pay higher than intc and qcom.
Working for Huawei in the US is dumb move
Why?
Because the government has banned US companies from buying Huawei HW
US team is working on a new CPU for their Arm servers. Has nothing to do with cell phones.
I am not just talking about cell phones. Telecom infrastructure too. https://www.google.com/amp/s/arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2018/08/trump-signs-bill-banning-feds-from-using-huawei-zte-technology/%3famp=1
Any idea about Bitmain, San Jose?
Tc is ~250k but sweat shop
Most Chinese companies at US are sweat shops. You need to be aligned with their HQ in China, which mostly have a 996 work schedule.
It seems like you are talking about Apple
Believe me, comparing to most Chinese companies, Apple and Amazon are like angels.
Oh, and most Chinese companies have no ethics: they will try to squeeze trade secrets of your previous employer from you; succeed or not, you could be thrown to the curb after which.
You will probably have to align your schedule to Asia time since HQ is there. So not only are you working days, you are also working nights!

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
