I’m prepping for both FB and Google tech interview (very first round). I am proficient in C# and JS. I may be able to brush up on my PHP... Can anyone share if the online coding tools used by these companies can accommodate those languages? I know leetcode has almost everything. FB recruiter shared a link that has a coding interface but that only has C, C++, Java, and Python.
Java is really similar to C#. 2-3 days should be enough for you to get comfortable with it.
Ha for an interview!
I would have said this differently: Java is really similar to C#. Go ahead and do it in C# and any interviewer that knows Java should be able to follow along. In fact, it could give you an advantage if they don't fully understand what you are writing, but if you explain it well they shrug it off.
Just use c# you should be fine
Python, English, som drawing, and some handwaving. Use whatever you find most comfortable with. What I said above ain’t trolling... i literally printed an ascii table as I walked through the states lol.
Choose whatever language you're comfortable with
C#? How old are you? This can be a red flag to them
I’m preparing in JS. I do frontend only mostly, though.
Always choose the language that u are most fluent in
Unless it's python. It feels like cheating that it is such a concise and practical language.
Don't do PHP for FB interviews unless you have extensive production experience in hackLang, some php folks can be unreasonable picky because they love the language a lot and they like their current idioms, even if they are brand new , and FB specific
I used C++ in one of my FANG interviews. Had a hard time explaining to the interviewer that the STL unordered_set supports O(1) lookup of it’s elements. This person took it for granted that search in a set is always linear. That was it to get on her wrong side and the rest is history.
C++ ftw!!!
Stdlib is not as rich as other languages though
r u high?
