All three gave me verbal offers, I dont know the TC yet. Levels are similar: E5 and Staff SWE. The work are all interesting to me. Assuming TC are about the same, which would you choose? Update: Thank you all for the votes and inputs. They all have pros and cons, and I believe I would be happy working at any of these places. I have decided to go to Facebook partly for these reasons: - 2 friends at FB told me they work very hard, but have no plan to leave and would recommend me to join. - 2 friends at linkedin said the WLB is good, coworkers are nice. But in terms of growth/comp, one is consider leaving after initial 4 years, the other friend would choose FB if given the chance. - Adobe didn’t work out on the offer.
Linkedin. Haven't you been watching all the blind posts lately about Facebook.. be careful what you wish for. If you fall into good team it's worth it
See below. There are a few thousand xooglers at FB who have been there for 3+ years. Tell me why they are there if the WLB is universally bad. It's because blind isn't representative of the real world.
💰 talks my friend. I've seen many googlers even regretting. Wlb is not universally bad it's mostly bad based on what I read. But if you are lucky it's a lottery.
What’s wrong with FB? It was the most desired place in some recent Blind topics
Overblown WLB concerns. Your mileage will vary. Just remember not everyone on here with a FB name is an actual employee. Ex-employees, former interns, contractors with an axe to grind will post shit. If you want the downlow, consult your own network via alumni or friends. Do not trust blind.
LinkedIn mate. Fb if you want to make your life stressful
Agree with this post.
Facebook has the best growth potential, but be prepared to deal with constant pressure to excess expectations
Staff for infra will pay $$$$$ easily 420k+, prob 450k+. Not sure if e5 can compete
Facebook. You can move to insta WhatsApp or other cool orgs. Linkedin is small compared to FB , although Infra team is best at Linkedin and they have high bar for hiring.
I would choose LinkedIn but if TC is comparable which I doubt it will be, I would pick Adobe over Facebook any day. We will take care of your holistic wellbeing instead of treating you like a sweatshop worker. If you want a tour of Adobe or want to grab lunch to talk more about the work culture here feel free to DM me.
Respect that's nice of you. We need more people like you on blind
Thank you, from my interview experience adobe folks are very nice.
I agree with my colleagues about Adobe’s work/life balance. If that’s important to you, you’re likely better off here than the other companies. I’ve interviewed at Amazon and Google, haven’t really been impressed with their “we’re going to immediately down-level you and then work you to death” attitude. I wouldn’t work at Facebook if it was the last company on earth.
Got offers - dont know tc. Hmm.

Compensation and interest being equal I think it comes down to intangibles. How do you value resume building? Are you a person focused on maximizing perks? Etc. I think Adobe is a DISTANT 3rd.
Yes long term growth is important either inside or outside the company.
I don’t know about growth at LinkedIn, but growth at Facebook is a real opportunity AND it looks better on your resume. However, the grind on the eng side is fucking insane.
