Have 2 offers from Apple and Intuitive Surgical for Software Engg position Have 3.75 YOE working at big company and a startup Apple is offering 150k base+150k RSU + sign on. Intuitive is offering 142k base + 130k (RSU+ options) Looking for inputs on what would be a better role to pursue considering factors like WLB, growth, scope to switch internally and overall work culture
Apple’s WLB is really really bad
really depends on team. my team (sw) works 9:30-5.... highly condensed short hours. check emails/texts at home after 5.
Intuitive can have poor WLB as well but the scope of work is extremely broad and many people switch teams internally to work on different projects/technologies
What are different projects you have. Anything futuristic involving ML or Image Processing
Hi DM me for details
I think Intuitive folks are more reasonable. I’ve been at FAANG and heard some ridiculous demands that make no sense but you are still expected to work miracles or get fired.
What’s your priority??..go for Intuitive for wlb and apple for money 😊
@magician19 what did you pick ? How has it been so far ?
Joined Intuitive. Found there are relevant projects at ISI.
how did you like it so far?
OP which org? What do the refreshers look like? Is 300k TC possible for a senior SWE?
intuitive super slow, lots of randomnesses, outdated everything, IT, software, office, toilets anything you can imagine, don't know apple
