How likely is Uber 5b to get to Fb E6 ?
Is it normal ?

For E6 interviews, how many coding and design rounds ?

    Depending on interview, it’s possible fb consider you as E6. Not google though

  • Interviewed many E6 candidates while most of them failed. 6 YOE +BS seems tough. But as you are in 5b, you can ask.

    Since when are you 5b? What was promotion progress? Are you a solid tech lead and have you land a major successful initiative?

    Normally E6 candidates need an explanatory call with an EM. They can set up you an E6 loop.

    Another possibility: do an E5 loop first. Nail it. You need to E6 signals from career and system design. If the career interviewer agrees E6, you need to do one more system design.

    E6 loops have one addition system design loop. I am more cuorious about your career than the number of YOE.

  • It’s not rare for 5b to get on a E6 loop. I’ve interviews a handful from Uber that are in that exact situation. 6 YoE is fine as long as you have the background to back it up. I disagree with the above advice though, its usually way easier to fight for the harder loop and get down leveled than the other way around. Worst case scenario you’ll have a talk with a EM and they’ll say you don’t fit the criteria for E6 and you’ll do a E5 loop instead.

      @op you are 5b at 6yoe. That has to on some level be a reflection of your skill. Don't let these other guys slow you down. I'm 7yoe, had about 6 or 7 e6 equivalent loops the past month or two. Push for it with every recruiter you talk to
