I see that Ciscos paternity leave is 3 months . Should we wait for one year to get that benefit. I mean is there a one year restriction before that kicks in.
There is a 1 yr restriction from what I know for 1 month leave .. for 3 months it has to start from the day the baby is born ... also note that stock vesting dates will be delayed by 1 week and no espp or 401k during that window.. also if you spouse works at Cisco you won’t be eligible for it
No restriction or wait period when you can take paternity leave after you join.
You wont be having job security since u hve not completed 1 year
There's no paternity leave. It's child bonding leave and the length of time off depends on your role in family (not decided by gender). Main caregiver gets 13 consecutive weeks off, starting with the dob of new child. Supporting caregiver gets 4 weeks and can be taken any time within a year of birth of child, in weekly increments.
If both spouse do not work at Cisco, can they both claim primary caregiver at their respective companies
3 month bonding is a hoax and most of Cisco’s benefit are clause ridden. I have seen mean managers who have laid off people who either talked about taking full 3 months leave or have just returned from it.Laying off doesn’t need to have a reason. So much for “best” place to work at

Afaik, they must be 13 weeks immediately after birth.. you can take less than those but whatever you decide to take need to be consecutive
Do we need to complete one year
Before getting that benefit
