Can anyone comment on ballpark of what a Strategic Account Manager offer may look like at Cisco? Do they offer sign on bonus, RSUs, etc...? What's a ballpark base salary/bonus range?
I've been in sales roles for 7 years. I have a long history of exceeding quota. I used to work for one the strategic customers that Cisco is hiring the AM for.
What’s your current plan now? What’s your OTE and split? Is this for CISCO or AppDynamics?
My OTE is about $200K. The role is Cisco Systems, not the appdynamics division.
Expect the same, no RSU’s. Cisco has changed a lot and not the place of high pay for high performers anymore
The hiring manager talks the talk like nearly everyone on the team has OTE higher than my Microsoft OTE
You can definitely do higher than $200k OTE even at grade 10-11, and Cisco is pretty nice about making it possible to significantly overachieve (I’ve seen 150% of goal, and heard of higher), with generous accelerators. I know the commission split varies a lot from role to role, and higher OTE can be seen with a lower base (e. g. 30/70). I’d see what they offer, there are a lot of sales guys here who do VERY well.
You’ll probably see 210 or 220 if you negotiate well. Definitely no RSU’s. Have you thought of looking elsewhere? Where you based?
There’s a lot of places hiring for sales reps. I would keep looking unless your dead set and need to leave.
No need to leave. Just looking around.
Cisco sales here. 200k is junior OTE for field sales at Cisco. Expect 250-300, plus occasional RSU if you are really good. No signing bonus.
How much experience do you have now? I’m assuming you’re in sales currently. How often have you hit your quota? Are you bringing a Rolodex if potential customers?
