Cisco vs McAfee
Need serious advice, no trolling please: I am midway through the interview process at both. Please share your insights on WLB, compensation, culture, bonus, equity, job security. TC 132k YOE: 14 Both said base 200k and bonus 15-20% for Bay Area, during phone screens.

Cisco has a few bad BUs like most companies. There’s lots of great parts of Cisco including Security, where this guy is applying
200k base is a lot of money. Cisco has a good work life balance. I don’t know about mcafee but sounds like a good deal for 200k base.
Some people might say 200k is not a lot of money... but it depends on your hard work and talent etc.

WLB is great at Cisco and depends on you. I have seen them always pay out bonuses. Even during current times thry did. Can't say about variable pay like RSU or comissions. No experience with them
How much bonus do they pay usually?
Like a few people have said here. It depwnds on your grade. 15% for Grade 10 for example. But also depends on Company performance and your performance. So I would say in the vicinity of 15%. HR will tell you what the percentage is for your grade.
Can you share which group at Cisco? I joined one with no life!
For what it’s worth i have always really liked the ex-McAfee guys i have worked with. Can’t speak to the company more than that though.
