I might be getting an offer for a SWE position in a back-office team at Citadel HF soon. What's the normally expected salary and what might be an appropriate amount to ask for? Yoe: 6.5

That's a very small sample of data with a very wide range. Doesn't give me a good picture of what their actual salary looks like
The citadel of Rick's is hiring?
Very dependent on team, your experience and your performance. If I had to give a number, probably around 400k+. Expect base around 200k and the rest of it as bonus.
Guaranteed bonus?
Usually first year is guaranteed (technically “target” but most people get at least that number) and then it’s discretionary
About $400K, half base, half bonus. They will definitely ask you about your expectations.
For back-office swe , 200 base + 100 first year bonus is good. Anything over that is excellent negotiations ! You can negotiate better if you have a counter.
Is back office really paid that much less? There's several reports on blind of people getting paid $400-500k and that's on the lower end for front office roles
Varies on your team, experience etc but this should be the ballpark. FO roles would have similar base but higher bonuses.
Use the levels.fyi negotiation service as early as possible. They'll easily get you the max comp
