I keep getting emails and calls from a recruiting agency for Citadel. They say that there are roles in a program called NXT with very high comp numbers. Anybody heard of this? Is it worth pursuing? Edit: I am interested in knowing more about wlb, culture, etc. Also how hard are the interviews?
Redirect them to me 😂
I did not work there, but wlb and culture sucks in Wall Street firms. It is stressful as well
Opposite of the spectrum, much higher TC, much higher stress, much higher CoL. Personally I prefer to rest and vest, not really into finance companies.
Spoken like a true softie
It's definitely worth getting to an offer, then you can think about it more clearly.
NXT is the experienced hire recruiting pipeline at Citadel - basically interviewers from various teams and then a team matching process. Compensation and WLB somewhat dependent on team, but generally will be higher TC than FAANG with somewhat higher pressure and hours (think 50-60/week). Whether that’s worth switching for is your decision.
Can you share numbers for compensation? I have heard of offers anywhere between 300 and 800 for 5 years of experience.
There’s a big range depending on the specific team, personal performance, etc. 800 is possible but definitely an outlier for a SWE position at 5 YOE. 400, not counting any signing bonus, is probably closer to the average
Does Citadel NXT feed into Securities or the Hedge Fund? The consensus on blind seems to be that Securities is the better of the two. The headhunter mentioned that Citadel NXT program is “directly sponsored by CTO leadership”. Is there any significance to that it?
Were you able to find out?
I got a call with a recruiter for this.
Citadel TC > Microsoft TC
😭😭😭😭
What about Citadel vs FANG TC?
