Anyone working at Citibank? How's the experience been? How's the culture? Any insight in comparison to other banks would be helpful too.#citibank

Any insight on the community capital side of the business?
itโs a bank. do with that info what you will.
I see a lot of comments which indicate C1> chase>Citi in terms of culture(esp tech and analytics). Is there any truth in this?
the analytics org is a shitshow. Iโm a PM โ itโs just a lot of meetings and governance red tape. but there are some cool projects (google plex). cant say for other places but they never struck me as any different
Citi is a typical big bank. Not better not worse. A lot depends on the team. But still, youโll see bunch of nonsense as with any big organization. Red tape, politics etc.
It all depends on what team you are in. But expect the typical bank set up.
Any ideas on comp range for avps?
Lol I would guess 60k in ops in Tampa to 350k in M&A so the title doesn't tell you much
Much appreciated, interviewing with CREB side next week.
Generally, bad legacy system infrastructure and reference data set up, disorganised processes, technology modernisation is super slow, just feels messy in general and people donโt challenge the old process and no sufficient support for new joiners to challenge either.
I do not understand why people are so focused on culture. Itโs a bank. They will throw you under the bus when needed and lay you off whenever they want. If you want great culture; empowerment; great leaders etc, be your own boss and work for yourself.
You need to specify which group within Citi
It will be business operations, also what is the WFH policy?
WFH depends on the group but the new CEO has said for most employees, 3 days in office / 2 days at home.
