Few of our client team members is inviting me alone for Lunch as a token of appreciation. Are we good to accept the invitation?
Depends whether it's lunch at Mc Donald's or a Michelin star restaurant
Why not? Unless it’s an absurdly expensive lunch or something
We have occasionally invited our consultants (infosys, cap gemini, tcs) for lunch, in appreciation for project conclusion or quick turnaround on urgent issues. Sometimes it’s a treat to a new team member, per tradition. No problem. Mind you, that as a Pharma company the rules for gifts can be pretty strict, especially when dealing with HCP (healt care providers). Can’t take doctors, nurses, etc. to lunch unless it’s incidental and the value is minimal. However, it doesn’t apply to consultants.
Yes accept it.
Stupidiest question i have ever seen on blind ! My advice- dont go, you will fuck it up.
Go but bring your own lunch?
Or don’t go but ask them to send DoorDash?
Nothing wrong in a casual lunch..go for it
Check wit HR, you may need to pay fore your own lunch, otherwise it could be considered a kickback. Usually there is a $ limit you can accept for gifts, like $50
How are we supposed to answer if you give us no context? Which company? Which position? If you don’t have an Employee Handbook or equivalent that prohibits this, why aren’t you good to accept it? Just look for Conflict of Interest, or similar subsections.
