Hello, Product Manager here. I am planning to work on enhancing my tech skills. While I love PM role, my weakness is in the tech side. And I am that person who needs some kind of structure to keep me motivated and going - so YouTube/Udemy etc might not be the best option for me. I would like to know from folks here, which one of the coding boot camps are considered best. Not creating a poll, since I would like to know why someone thinks a specific boot camp is good/bad.
Do you want to get hired as a programmer or become a TPM?
TPM. I am a PM now, and love that. I would like to continue that path, but become more competent in a more technically challenging Product.
Not sure if bootcamp is necessary for what you want to do.. But if you insist, all the bootcamps are pretty much the same. So I would choose the most affordable one.
If you just want to have knowledge without actually doing them for work, bootcamp is a waste of money. Read books or watch videos for higher level knowledge (i.e DDIA)
I went through LaunchSchool.com while working full time. It’s self paced, took me about 2.5 years, and cost $200/mo. Ended up doing capstone, landed a $180k startup job (1 year ago), and currently in salary negotiations with Amazon and Google. Im obviously biased, but I’m a fan of the program
Udemy is actually a good start for a low price because boot camps aren’t much more structured. Then you can decide if you want to drop $ for a bootcamp
