Is it a bad idea to interview in js if your goal is to work mainly on back end (java, python, nodejs)? I’ve done almost 200 LCs in js and not sure if it’s worthwhile to start using another langauge with better data structure support such as python. TC: 70k
It might matter. I interviewed in JS at a FANG (for SDE) and was offered FE role despite not talking about frontend throughout the interview
What position did you apply? Also might be hiring manager and bar raiser assessment after interviews and design Regardless the move inside afterwards - also in responsibilities is easy. I’ve seen it happen real fast.
Was the programming for the MCAS sensor done in JavaScript also?
Depending on how much time you have , I think u might be taking on too much trying to learn a new language when your time would be better spent on other things.
Good point. I’m technically not looking atm, but want to further develop my interview skills
It doesn’t matter You can do js backend Just use whatever your fastest and most versed in
