Hiring manager said the compensation that I expected is not possible and offered a compensation A and I agreed to it. When I received offer letter from HR, compensation B plus a signing bonus is mentioned which is lesser than the agreed compensation A. How to take it forward? What is GC processing policy in Cognizant? Was told by HR that the processing will start only after an year as per policy. But a friend told they started internal processing for GC from day 1.
Oh btw don't come here. This place is a mess.
Reach out to HR and try to negotiate. About GC it depends on your manager (approvals etc.) and a lot of other things. Internally there is a huge queue (people already in process of GC). So when they say “internal process” it could mean a lot of different things. It would be best to ask HR about polices.
Dont come to Cognizant if you have better offers elsewhere. Several folks who have been on H1 since 2-3 yearshave their GC process still on standby. Dont expect GC to start day 1 and a good organizational and culture
Also H1B RFE rate is high . Lots of people are getting denied and being sent back to India.
Cognizant? TCS? I recommend you look into the minimum wage laws in the relevant State. If it's WA you should be getting at least $15/h. Don't settle for less!
If you have a better offer in hand, just move on. Don’t take the offer unless you have satisfied with your pay. And do not fall into trap, when they say they would increase your pay in 6 months or near future or a possibility of promotion. Make sure you have in written if they have committed to process your green card.
Please don’t come here and whatever they promise it’s all fake. They will take ur last drop of blood and will say bye at the last moment.
Guys he is from TCS which is at the bottom of any measurement ever invented ..cognizant for him is 100% better
Why do u want to take it forward? This is the kind of shit these sweatshops will pull on u.
I don't work in a sweatshop! Am I sweating? Maybe, but it's only because the AC is broken and they said they'll fix it this year, but they also said that last year, but fixing AC units isn't exactly easy, so I can get how it might take a couple of years to....
:)
