I will be graduating next year and I have offers from both Cohesity and Atlassian. Both are in Bangalore, India. Offer details: Cohesity : 15 lakh INR base + 2 lakh INR joining bonus + 2300 rsu over 4 years(pre-ipo). Atlassian : 12 lakh INR base + 10% bonus + $50k stocks over 4 years. Which is better in terms of culture, growth, easiness to switch etc?
Cohesity if you are interested in systems engineering, Atlassian if interested in applications. I’d suggest spending some time looking at their respective products. They work in very different business domains - DR vs Productivity. Both are well-respected in their respective product domains.
What’s the unit cost of cohesity rsu’s...well cohesity is a start up and soft bank has stake in it they are trying to solve consolidate secondary storage problems. I feel like cohesity can be good path for an starter if the company does well...ceo is ex-google and boasts designed and built google file storage system during his time at company
Atlassian > Cohesity for me. I have a few friends who joined and left Cohesity because of tremendous workloads. There’s no clear IPO timeline in view either. Atlassian is offering a better deal I feel. If you’re super interested in systems then Cohesity could be rated higher. Cohesity just raised funding. I don’t think they want to IPO anytime soon. Even if they did, currently their stock is priced internally at ~10-12$ which makes your stock grant half of Atlassian’s
Cohesity is close to $20 on secondary
I don't know anything about the working environment at Cohesity, but Atlassian is a great place to work and we have a lot of internal mobility if you get promoted a few times transferring to Sydney or the US can be a possibility. Not sure what to make of the stock offer since we're just off a big peak and how much more upside the stock has is anyone's guess
Cohesity is an awesome company with a bright future!
I cannot talk of cohesity but Atlassian would be great place to work in terms culture and growth according to my experience ( joined as grad recently). Also if you look from TC perspective it's a better offer than cohesity. Still it depends on your interests on which to join.
Cohesity, tremendous upswing
If you like distributed systems cohesity can teach you great stuff.
Never heard of cohesity. So atlassian wins by default.
If you never heard of cohesity then i pity you.
