Anyone from Collins Aerospace on Blind'? What are your thoughts about the company, direction, culture and compensation?
The company is great I guess. Very average comp compared to other aerospace companies, the culture is relaxed and friendly depending on your location mainly, direction is kinda vague because with the mergers and stuff it’s hard to tell where we are going but day to day roles haven’t changed much
Wlb is what you make of it. If you are good and willing they will dump pretty much on you. If you are a slacker it works fine. avg comp just like any other avionics company. col low if you are at cedar rapids or Melbourne. Iowa weather sucks. Nothing special i can think of from other similar industry companies. Benefits are getting dinged after merger. IPP bonus is gone now.
I don't know about all the orgs, but I feel the adoption of software tech is super slow may be a problem of all aviation companies, and especially if joining from a pure software company.
Collins is an amazing company to work, I would say excellent organization. But recently coz COVID-19 commercial sector hit very badly and they let go many employees. That's the saddest part of this organization and defense sector is doing good job.

If a new tech city is built in India ground up with most of the amenities found in a US City. Would you consider moving?
I’d also be curious. Also, What about WLB?
