Comcast - query on job offer during covid19

Recently I got selected for a position in comcast and I was told that an offer will be sent soon after which the stay at home orders came out. When I called the recruiter he said currently all the positions seems to be on pause and a decision will be taken this week whether they will pursue the position or freeze it. I know every case is different but trying to get a perspective. Anyone has faced this situation so far.#offer #tech #comcast #covid19

  • I would agree with ^^. I'm seeing companies pause hiring indefinitely. If stuff really hits the fan in the coming months, the company is better off not to have hired a person than to have hired them, offered salary/benefits, then have to lay them off possibly with severance. Multiply that over 5-10-25-50-etc hires/employees depending on the company and their hiring tendencies.

  • I doubt that this offer will materialize. Sorry, but I'm seeing it from the hiring managers perspective. All growth is restricted in tine if uncertainty for most companies.
