A lot of JS for sure, but it’s a quite a bit more diverse than that. I’ll break it down.
Endpoint/Client code: mostly python, with some legacy bash and vbscript. Tanium API and main server code (Highly locked down) : C++ Product module server code (code directly accessible by customers. Consumes data from the platform API and does product specific stuff with it) Mostly Node.js Product front end code: Mostly react. Currently porting some angular code over Various tools, middleware, libraries: golang
I am an SWE but we are hiring many different roles! Typical FAANG style: some technical phone screens then an on site loop. Probably more culture and communication checking than most FAANG interviews though.
That’s for SWE anyway. It’s quite different for TAMs and other roles
One thing I really liked is even the whiteboard interviews felt highly collaborative; it didn’t feel like they were playing stump the chump and trying to trip me up.
I’m getting a lot of messages about this! Thanks for the interest everyone! I’m answering these as fast as I can (and have to run to the store before they close in a few) but will day back to everyone today as fast as I can
