How bad is commute from Dublin to SF and back on Bart during peak hours? Which companies provide shuttles from Dublin to SFand how long it takes generally?
Don't do it
You need to take an intercontinental flight of about 6 hours each way
About an hour but why would you do that to yourself on a daily basis? Bart is not anywhere as comfortable as a tech shuttle.
Its doable if you have flex hours and some days you work remote. All 5 days can be too much. If you have kids - Dublin has a housing overgrowth and school overcrowding issue with local politicians (city snd school district) doing nothing real about it. Its still a great city but future is a bit uncertain due to too less commercial and just 1 high school.
Wow I have been seriously considering moving to Dublin from south bay and commute to sf but this post is making me think otherwise..
South Bay has more companies. In future u might have near 0 commute if u change.jobs
Sothbay to sf commute is much worse than dublin to sf mainly because bart has msny stops in sf wheteas thete is only one in caltrain
Pm me I can give you info so you make informed decision. I know about the city.
Please elaborate. I've taken bart for years snd never seen sny issue with these stations.
BART is still much better than Caltrain. And if you care about schools (public or private), Dunlin/Pleasanton and Fremont are your best choices
Atrocious. Hour and a half to two hours
It's 45 mins each way on Bart. How bad the crowd will be in peak hours?
Not even 45 min. Packed like sardines and we’ll over an hour.
