I would be joining OCI Seattle soon. Wondering what are the commute options specially for people living on Eastside? I currently live in Bellevue close to Microsoft campus. Has anyone tried driving ? What are the parking options ?
Both offices are close to multiple buses and the transit tunnel. I agree that 545 is a good option if you live near close enough to make OTC worth it. Parking garages are available but not subsidized. That being said the TC is enough to shrug off the parking cost if the bus is significantly inconvenient for you.
Thanks, from OTC what is the average time spent in commute ? For me OTC is like 10-15 mins walk. So not that far.
Parking at century square is like $400/mo, don’t drive. Everyone takes the bus.
Early Bird parking at Russel Investment building is $18 a day. I did it a few times from West Seattle and traffic was not bad at all.
Welcome to OCI/RIC. Parking nearby is abundant, but generally pretty expensive. Busses aren't bad, but the problem is that from the east side, most drop you off literally across the street from CSQ. The walk isn't bad.
Parking is futile. I used to live in Bellevue and commute to Seattle. Your best bet is to park at the Eastgate park and ride and catch the 212 to downtown Seattle, about a 30 minute bus ride.
How much is parking at Russell? Have you checked. Driving is a pain just like oci
There is a garage on 2nd/Pike that a colleague parks at. Got stuck with that when CSQ ran out of spots. It’s about $325 per month. It’s equidistant to CSQ and RIC.
Don’t bother driving. Too expensive to park unless you can split the cost with others. Take the 545 into Westlake. That’s by far the easiest option, especially if you’re going to work in Century Square.
Thanks, my team is in Russel investments. But based on other comments it looks like bus stop is not far from there.
