Live in San Jose, but will be working in the city. Any suggestions on how to commute? Drive to the caltrain station first then take the train, is it reliable? How long does it take?
The early morning bullet does 65 min from San Jose to Kings Station. So add 30 min for commutinng from home to Caltrain Station and from Caltrain Station to Work. Not great but not that bad as you can sleep, chill, relax on the caltrain.
You can also drink on the train. Great way to take an edge off after work day.
It takes roughly an hour from Diridon to King Street if you’re riding a bullet.
I would suggest you move. The Caltrain is mostly fine, but when it has a mechanical or someone is hit by a train and the entire system gets hit by multi hour delays. This happens way too often. You should look at the schedule for times. You can find the Caltrain website by searching on Bing. If your station isn’t a bullet train stop, it would be a miserable experience.
Good luck. I turned down an offer from a company in the city and I live in Fremont.
Freemont to SF is much easier bart is much more reliable and frequent.
It’s still about an hour train ride + walking, regardless how far you live from the station. And Bart has a LOT of gunshots and robberies.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

Buy FB now before 20% increase after hours?
Why would you do that?
Only need to go to SF maybe 1-2 times a week. So it should be fine.
