Commuter benefit

I drive to office (10miles from home) , so I did not opted for commuter and parking benefit. Do you think, I should opt for commuter benefit even though i can drive to office.

Why if I can not use or if I leave company I will loose all money

Typically with commuter commits it is a monthly draw. So, don't commit more than a month. If you know you are leaving, stop contributing.

No, unless you start taking public transit or use the money for parking at the office. Those benefits don’t pay for gas.

Sure. You can use that money on Uber pool and go to the office.

Get a commuter transit account and use UberPools everywhere. Almost cuts your Uber spend in half

Proofpoint Ok ok Jun 26, 2018

So I can use Uber pool even for personal travel?

SecureWorks EUE1337 Jun 27, 2018

I do all the time. No idea how they would audit it much less who “they” are

Yes. Its doesn’t matter personal or office commute. But the catch here is Uber has to always dispatch a 6-seater car. That’s the condition on using commuter benefit money. That narrow downs the number of cars available.
