Commuting to Seattle SLU from Snohomish or Lake Stevens

Considering my commute from Woodinville is nearly an hour one way. I am considering a home further north at a better price margin. From analyzing through various tools it seems it wont increase my traffic times by much more than 20 minutes each way. What is your experience with this commute

It’s possible but terrible. Consider Lynnwood area or South Everest/Mill Creek; better bussing options.

Why would you do that to yourself?

You can get a new home in Lake Stevens at 550k vs something built in the 60s closer. As above, Lynwood may be an option.

Lynnwood it’s better on the way to work but going home between 430 and 630 sucks. If you are here for the long haul the light rail is coming to Lynnwood in 2024.

We are moving to Lake Stevens. I am currently in Mill Creek and the commute difference is around 10-15 mins. It will be terrible if you commute in peak 6-9 am going south. Otherwise not that bad
