Does a $65k salary seem low for Systems Engineer job (PHX market) that is requires to be a jack of all trades, expert in none? I need to know my way around Linux, Windows, Hyper-V, SAP HANA, VMware, Cisco Nexus and UCS, setting up PXE and customizing Linux environments for automation, python and bash scripting. Glass Door doesn't seem to take those skillsets into accounts in its calculations, and the job title compensation greatly differs when compared to other companies.
I don't know the local market for you, but this would be VERY low in Seattle, even as just base pay. For a mid-career systems engineer in Seattle, you could expect 170-210 from the big players, maybe 120-130 from the small guys.
Super low for Arizona!
Wtf is a systems engineer? Is that the new name for a sysadmin?
Sorry couldn’t help myself http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Systems+engineer
He works at Google. He's not allowed to use Google for personal reasons. That would be misuse of company property.
How many years of Exp?
Going on 7 years
Definitely too low. That’s what you would pay someone with half the experience
